Monogram Ideas

1. A traditional monogram consists of 3 initials; first name, middle name, last name. For this placement, all 3 initials are the same size in this order. For example: James William Blake would be: JWB.

2. For a personal monogram you may also position the last name initial to the center and size it larger than the surrounding initials. For example: JBW. This is appropriate for any monogram, and is a personal preference.

3. Combined monogram; this monogram is a blending of 2 people, usually married, placing the first initials of each with the married last name in the center. The center initial is embroidered larger than the surrounding initials. For example: Jane & William Blake would be: JBW.

4. Last name initial only. This is totally acceptable and an elegant statement for newly married couples or a single person.

5. You can have fun when monogramming! You do not have to use a formal traditional monogram, use a nickname or other saying the person will associate with. For example: Cutie, Barbie, Best Friend, etc. even modern phrases like; BFF (best friends forever) get creative, everyone loves a truly unique gift.

6. Lower case letters are allowed. Please be specific if all lower case letters are wanted on ordering form.

7. We will try to accommodate your personal specifications. The gallery photos are there to give you ideas and help you decide on a particular item. Look through all ordering options and check all spelling. We will embroider exactly as on the order form.

8. Choose a complimentary thread color. We suggest giving the embroidery a color that will "pop". Tone on tone is elegant, but sometimes difficult to view.
